Objective To analyze the clinical effect of subtotal laminectomy with latent decompression and internal fixation in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods? Totally 100 patients with lumbar spinal stenosis admitted to General Hospital of Zhongtiaoshan Group from April 2015 to April 2020 were selected and randomly divided into observation group（50 cases，implementation of subtotal laminectomy，latent decompression and internal fixation）and control group（50 cases，decompression by subtotal hemilaminectomy was performed）. The excellent and good rate of treatment and VAS evaluation and the height of intervertebral space before and after operation were compared between the two groups. Results? Before surgery，VAS scores and intervertebral space height were not significantly different between the two groups（P＞0.05）. After surgery，the excellent and good rate of treatment in the observation group was better than that in the control group，VAS score and intervertebral space height were lower than those in the control group，and the differences were statistically significant（P ＜0.05）.Conclusion? For patients with lumbar spinal stenosis，the implementation of subtotal laminectomy，latent decompression and internal fixation can effectively improve the treatment effect of patients，and effectively reduce the pain score and intervertebral space height of patients，which can promote the disease recovery of patients faster，which is worthy of promotion.
