Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of sequential treatment with Progynova and progesterone after missed abortion curettage. Methods During the period from June 2017 to June 2019, 108 missed abortion patients who underwent curettage in Xiangyang Bo'ai Hospital were enrolled. They were divided into observation group and control group by simple sampling method, 54 cases in each group. The control group was treated with motherwort granules and ceftriaxone sodium, while observation group was given sequential treatment with Progynova and progesterone on basis of control group. The curative effect, duration of vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain, menstrual resurgence time, vaginal bleeding volume, endometrial thickness, incidence of decreased menstrual blood volume and amenorrhea were compared between the two groups. The pain degree was evaluated by scores of visual analog scale (VAS). The occurrence of cervical adhesion in both groups was statistically analyzed. Results The total response rate of treatment in observation group was higher than that in control group, duration of vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain, and menstrual resurgence time were shorter than those in control group, vaginal bleeding volume was less than that in control group, and endometrial thickness was greater than that in control group (P<0.05). At 7d after surgery, VAS score in observation group was lower than that in control group (P< 0.05). The incidence of decreased menstrual blood volume in the group was higher than that in control group, while incidence of cervical adhesion was lower than that in control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of sequential treatment with Progynova and progesterone after missed abortion can alleviate pain, reduce vaginal bleeding volume, shorten vaginal bleeding time, and reduce the occurrence of amenorrhea and cervical adhesion.
