Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells for different storage duration in patients with malignant solid tumors to provide reference for clinic. Methods 80 patients with malignant solid tumors treated in Handan Central Hospital between January 2021 and July 2022 were selected for retrospective analysis. Taking the storage duration of leucocyte depleted suspended red blood cells for 14 days as the critical value, the patients were divided into observation group (infused with leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells stored within 14 days) and control group (infused with the same kind of red blood cells stored for more than 14 days), including 40 patients in each group. The levels of adenosine triphosphate, 2,3-diphosphoglyceric acid and pH in the leukocyte-depleted suspendedred blood cells of the two groups were compared, and the effective oxygen carrying capacity (Q) level of the red blood cells of different duration between collecting and storing was compared. The changes of hemoglobin level and hematocrit of the two groups were compared after 2 units of the leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells infusion. Results The levels of adenosine triphosphate 2,3-diphosphoglyceric acid and pH in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). The Q level on the day of collecting leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells was higher than that after 7, 14, 21 and 28 days, and the Q level of the red blood cells was the lowest when the duration of leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells storage was 28 days or more (P<0.05). Hemoglobin level and hematocrit of observation group were higher than those of the control group after 2 units of leukocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells infusion (P<0.05). Conclusion Infusion of leucocyte-depleted suspended red blood cells stored for less than 14 days for patients with malignant tumor can effectively improve the level of hemoglobin and hematocrit, and has more ideal Q level.
