Abstract:Objective? To design a functional pressure impression tray for diagnosis of monomaxillary denture with digital technology and to make a preliminary clinical evaluation, and to discuss the establishment of an efficient digital diagnosis and treatment process for single complete denture. Methods? The initial impression of red paste and initial jaw position records of patients with mandibular edentulous were scanned, and individual trays with occlusal relationship were designed and made by software as diagnostic denture trial. After the final impression was made, single complete denture was routinely made. Doctors and patients filled in visual analog scale (VAS) of satisfaction respectively. Doctors evaluated the clinical efficacy, and doctors and patients evaluated the satisfaction of denture efficacy at the same time. Results? The average satisfaction index of clinical use of diagnostic denture by VAS was (97.167±1.344). VAS method was used to evaluate the satisfaction of doctor and patient with the effect of diagnostic denture restoration. The average satisfaction index of the patient was 95.667±0.943, which was lower than that of the doctor (97.333±1.106), and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion? In conclusion, the digital-assisted manufacturing of single complete denture has the advantages of fewer clinical re-examination and adjustment times, good retention effect, good denture mastication function, and high satisfaction of doctor and patient.
